Shari Lyn Paladino lives in Oakland, Ca. She is an interdisciplinary artist utilizing a range of media and approaches. Her work has combined wood sculpture, textiles, and plants, interfaced with video and sound, to create time-based installations. These installations are tangible and metaphoric intersections between sensory and linguistic performativity, and the capacities of knowing and meaning making. Paladino considers disability alongside notions of the ‘natural,’ and ‘technological.’ Her practice is informed by a multifaceted personal history with disability.
